20 Colors / 20 Hours is a 20-hour indoor cycling fundraiser that invites beginner riders, competitive cyclists, fitness enthusiasts, cancer patients, survivors, and everyone in between to hop on a stationary bike and raise funds to help Austin area cancer patients and their support network. This first time fundraising event is hosted by Cancer Support Community Central Texas (CSCCT) and ColorCancer, two Austin-based nonprofit organizations that strive to support cancer patients, survivors and their families.

Location: Pure Ryde RealRyder® Indoor Cycling in Austin, TX

Date: February 7-8, 2014

How do I create a team?

About Cancer Support Community Central Texas

Cancer Support Community Central Texas (CSCCT) is a licensed affiliate of Cancer Support Community (CSC), a national organization created in 2009 from the merger of The Wellness Community and Gilda’s Club Worldwide. These two nonprofit organizations are leaders in providing personalized services to people touched by cancer for more than 45 combined years. CSCCT’s mission addresses the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) key finding that social and emotional support is as important as medical care in the face of a cancer diagnosis. Whether you’re a patient, a caregiver, or a family member going through a new diagnosis, active treatment, post-treatment, or just everyday life, the planned programs CSCCT will provide are meant to help create a better quality of life through initial diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.

About ColorCancer

ColorCancer, launched at the University of Texas at Austin in August of 2011 as the first program of the 501(c)(3) non profit Affect Change, Inc., is dedicated to bringing awareness and support to those affected by all cancers. This charity effort accomplishes it’s mission through large community events, unique outreach activities such as the recent HOPE STRENGTH ATX  4 foot standing letter program which traveled throughout Austin over 10 weeks, gathering cancer-colored handprints and messages, and the sale of brightly colored shirts that each represent and show support for different types of cancer. The program’s slogan is, “Every Cancer has a Color. Every Color has a Story.” ColorCancer provides an assortment of outreach opportunities to bring together these stories and the community they represent.
