About 20 Colors / 20 Hours

20 Colors / 20 Hours is a 20-hour indoor cycling fundraiser that invites beginner riders, competitive cyclists, fitness enthusiasts, cancer patients, survivors, and everyone in between to hop on a stationary bike and raise funds to help Austin area cancer patients and their support network. This first time fundraising event is hosted by Cancer Support Community Central Texas (CSCCT) and ColorCancer, two Austin-based nonprofit organizations that strive to support cancer patients, survivors and their families.

Location: Pure Ryde RealRyder® Indoor Cycling in Austin, TX

Date: February 7-8, 2014

Time: 7PM – 3PM

How to Participate:

As an individual, you will need to raise $250/hour for the benefiting charities. If you have friends who would like to join you on the same bike for that hour, please raise an additional $20/person. We have written out some examples to help you below:

1) I am single rider wanting to ride for one hour (Raise $250)

2) My friend and I want to share one bike for one hour (Raise $250 + $20/extra rider = $270)

3) I am a single rider and would like to ride for 3 hours (Raise $250/hour = $750)

How do I get started?

Click “Become a Fundraiser” and follow the steps to create your personal fundraising page.

How do I create a team?

Once on your personal fundraising page, click the “Create a Team” button on the right.

Once I raise my $250, how will I know if I am registered?

Congratulations! You will be contacted by a 20 Colors/ 20 Hours race director who will assign you to your hour/s based on your color preference. We will do our best to accommodate everyone.

For additional questions about the ride, fundraising, or donations, please e-mail info@20colors20hours.com. We are happy to help!

About Cancer Support Community Central Texas

Cancer Support Community Central Texas (CSCCT) is a licensed affiliate of Cancer Support Community (CSC), a national organization created in 2009 from the merger of The Wellness Community and Gilda’s Club Worldwide. These two nonprofit organizations are leaders in providing personalized services to people touched by cancer for more than 45 combined years. CSCCT’s mission addresses the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) key finding that social and emotional support is as important as medical care in the face of a cancer diagnosis. Whether you’re a patient, a caregiver, or a family member going through a new diagnosis, active treatment, post-treatment, or just everyday life, the planned programs CSCCT will provide are meant to help create a better quality of life through initial diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.

About ColorCancer

ColorCancer, launched at the University of Texas at Austin in August of 2011 as the first program of the 501(c)(3) non profit Affect Change, Inc., is dedicated to bringing awareness and support to those affected by all cancers. This charity effort accomplishes it’s mission through large community events, unique outreach activities such as the recent HOPE STRENGTH ATX  4 foot standing letter program which traveled throughout Austin over 10 weeks, gathering cancer-colored handprints and messages, and the sale of brightly colored shirts that each represent and show support for different types of cancer. The program’s slogan is, “Every Cancer has a Color. Every Color has a Story.” ColorCancer provides an assortment of outreach opportunities to bring together these stories and the community they represent.
